From here, you get an up-close, full-throttle view of the powerful upper falls tumbling roughly 18.5 m (60 ft) over a narrow ledge, framed by a small forested island and steep canyon walls.

The location is wheelchair-accessible and thoughtfully designed with safety in mind, offering both dramatic vistas and picturesque photo opportunities of the glacier-fed, milky blue water rushing through rugged terrain . For a quieter, more intimate perspective, trails continue downstream to the lower falls, but the main platform remains the premier spot to witness the raw, glacial energy that defines Sunwapta Falls.
